Ingredients:
- 1 Large loaf French bread
- 8 oz. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 8 oz. Swiss cheese, shredded
- 2 t. flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp. coarse ground pepper
- 1-2 garlic cloves
- dash Tabasco
- 1-12 oz. beer
- Cut French bread into 1 inch cubes, toss with garlic salt and toast evenly in 350 degree oven. Set aside.
- Put remaining ingredients into heavy, large-bottomed pan.
- Heat slowly 'til cheese is melted being careful not to scorch.
- When fully melted, pour into heated ceramic fondue pot.
- Keep ceramic pot heated at table with Sterno. ( Watch heat level so cheese does not burn).
- Using fondue forks, spear bread and dip into cheese mixture.
