What makes this oven-baked French toast recipe different from other similar recipes is the awesome cinnamon topping. It took only 10 minutes of preparation time the night before. Thus, very simple.
Ingredients:
- 1 stick of butter
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 5 eggs, beaten
- 1 ½ cup milk
- 12 slices of French bread, (the wider loaf rather than a baguette)
- Melt butter
- Add brown sugar and cinnamon to butter.
- Coat bread on both sides with mixture.
- Place pieces in 9 × 13 inch pan two layers high.
- Beat eggs
- Add milk to eggs, mix
- Pour mixture over bread slices.
- Let stand in refrigerator over night
- Flip the stacks of bread over
- Bake at 350° for approximately 45 minutes.
