Oven-Baked Cinnamon French Toast


What makes this oven-baked French toast recipe different from other similar recipes is the awesome cinnamon topping.  It took only 10 minutes of preparation time the night before.  Thus, very simple. 



Ingredients:
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 5 eggs, beaten
  • 1 ½ cup milk
  • 12 slices of French bread, (the wider loaf rather than a baguette)
Directions:
  • Melt butter
  • Add brown sugar and cinnamon to butter.
  • Coat bread on both sides with mixture.
  • Place pieces in 9 × 13 inch pan two layers high.
  • Beat eggs
  • Add milk to eggs, mix
  • Pour mixture over bread slices.
  • Let stand in refrigerator over night
  • Flip the stacks of bread over
  • Bake at 350° for approximately 45 minutes.
