"Perfectly Chocolate" Chocolate Chip Cookies

This is another favorite cookie in our family. My family does not request the normal Christmas cookie. This is one that is always requested.

Ingredients:

2¼ cups all-purpose Flour

⅓ cup unsweetened Cocoa

1 teaspoon Baking Soda

½ teaspoon Salt

1 cup Butter

¾ cup White Sugar

¾ cup packed Brown Sugar

1 teaspoon Vanilla

2 Eggs

2 cups Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips

1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
2. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
3. In large bowl, beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla on medium speed until creamy.
4. Add eggs and beat well.
5. Gradually add flour mixture, beating well.
6. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
7. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
8. Bake 8-10 minutes or until set.
9. Cool slightly before moving to cooling rack.
